Supply Chain Internship in Brindisi

The internship will be developed in a Supply Chain function such as Manufacturing Engineering, Materials, Fulfillment and Quality, aiming to support a project on productive cycle management.

Essential Responsibilities:

The candidate will participate to a project on productive cycle management, studying and developing capabilities on manufacturing processes, internal procurement and quality.

The candidate will support activities such as the following:
 

·       Manufacturing Engineering Area:

 

Participate in LEAN initiative and engage Six Sigma tools for process improvements.

Study in order to implement cycle time and process improvements in order to reduce costs and respect objectives.

Bring new ideas and positive support to the current processes.

Interface in an effective manner with all manufacturing departments.

Analyze and verify engineering designs and technical data are accurately documented and help to improve an accurate technical/historical base for future reference and to meet customer / end user requirements.

 

·       Procurement & Fulfillment Area:

Participate in submitting equipment orders.

Participate in all monitoring and recovery actions to secure deliveries in accordance with the requirements of the project.

Monitor endorsements on purchase orders.

Monitor the closing of purchase orders received and reconciliation bills.

Participate in placing orders ahead of the articles with long manufacturing cycle.

Monitor equipment inventory.
 

·       Quality Area:

Participate to all in-shop activities related to quality, supporting the functional focal point for quality assurance, inspectors and calibration coordinators for all related quality issues.

Participate in investigations of customer complaints and returns.

Provide assistance and data to other GE businesses on root cause investigations.

Participate in internal quality audits within repair shop under the requirements of I&RS quality procedures and ISO9001:2000 Standard.

Generate reports and contribute on defining corrective actions when necessary.

Participate in management of the Quality Assurance procedure system maintain, audit, and integrate procedures with customer requirements and good quality practices as outlined in GE I&RS procedures.

Assist Maintenance Crew with Maintenance Activities and plan Preventive Maintenance in Powersuite.

 
Qualifications/Requirements   

·         Master's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Management Engineering from an accredited university or college.

·         Academic excellence supported by graduation marks greater than or equal to 105/110.

·         Fluent Italian and English language.

·         Proficient in computer skills.

·         EU work permit.

·         Graduated within max. 12 months.
